Description |
A beautiful miniature of quartz var. amethyst from the Moon Light Mine in Thunder Bay, Ontario, near the west coast of Lake Superior. This piece displays deep purple coloration, and the signature red hematite coloration that concentrates in the tips of each individual crystal. The hematite occurs as an inclusion under the surface of the quartz, which creates an attractive color effect effect along with the superlative luster that this locality is famous for. |
