Description |
A example of the uncommon copper arsenic sulfosalt mineral tennantite. Tennantite has been recently redefined as a group of related minerals in the tennantite/tetrahedrite group. This sample is tentatively identified as the zinc (Zn) variant, which is known to occur in Butte, Montana. This mineral is closely related to tetrahedrite, which has antimony substituted for arsenic. |
