This microcrystalline quartz mineral, known by the trade name bloodstone, displays unique red spots on a dark green to black matrix. This unusual appearance been associated with mystical protective qualities since the times of antiquity when it would be carried into battle by Roman troops as talisman of luck, bravery and protection. |
