Description |
This unusual mineral is associated with low-grade metamorphism in rocks from the Mt. Ida region in Arkansas, and is brought to you direct from a local miner/collector who has pulled this material from mine reclamation work done in the area, as well as some old stock from a local rock shop and museum. The radiating, crystalline structure forms into globular aggregates in colors ranging from minty green to chartreuse, which adds a unique look and and interesting textural element to any serious collection of American mineral varieties. These economical specimens generally will have only partial globules - fully crystallized globular crystals are exceedingly rare and expensive for this material, but we do have some samples of higher-end material with full spheres including the exceptionally rare blue variety in the museum collection for reference. Ordering this item will provide you a random selection of 1 small cabinet or miniature sized example. |
