| Description |
A wonderful example of the variety of granite that can be found on the Channel Island of Jersey off the northern coast of France. This material is likely the Corbière Granite variety of the Cadomian Orogeny, exhibiting reddish pink to gray coloration, which is a deposit that is estimated to be 500-700 million years old, with an attractive pink color which has led to the material being mined for centuries for tile and masonry. |
