Description |
A Geiger counter is a key tool for safety in mineral collecting. This instrument will detect beta and gamma radiation emanating from any radioactive rocks. More expensive versions can also detect alpha radiation which is the most harmful, but also has the most limited range. If you are unsure if a rock is radioactive, use a Geiger counter to be sure! |
