Description |
A very nice example of a doubly terminated blue kyanite, single crystal blade. This material is not particularly known as being rare, but it is rare to see a perfect crystal, doubly terminated, with clean edges and faces, showing great color and the unique almost metallic luster that is characteristic of this species. The piece has a slightly wedge shape and very square along the c axis. A very fine example from a southeastern US locality. |
