Description |
A beautiful Vivianite icicle, displaying brilliant, mesmerizing deep forest green and dark ocean blue hues with excellent transparency and luster. This sample is damage free, but the material is naturally subject to some breakage or bending on the tips as it forms in thin, delicate, tapering lamellar sheets. It is important to store the mineral specimen out of direct light to preserve it's exceptional transparency and luster. These recent finds of Brazilian Vivianite appear somewhat less susceptible to light degradation than the Bolivian varieties, but the effect will still occur over long time periods, turning a very high quality, blue-green sample to an opaque green-black color. |
