Description |
A spectacular specimen of the manganese oxide mineral pyrolusite from Morocco, which exhibits chrome-bright metallic luster in incredible, perfect acicular radiating sprays that cling to the surface of the matrix rock. Pyrolusite is generally used as an important source of manganese ore, but samples of this quality are prized by collectors for their brilliant luster and exemplary crystal form. Be careful handling this material - it can produce metal splinters. |
