Description |
A small example of the abundant brain coral which is found throughout the Caribbean islands of the greater Antilles. This material is so named because of its obvious brain like appearance on the surface. Brain coral is incorporated extensively into stonework and masonry on the islands, however it's abundance is now reduced due to ocean temperature changes which cause coral bleaching, coupled with its overall slow growth rates. |
