Description |
Microscopic zircon crystals line the vugs and cavities of the matrix in this old collection sample. Based on the age of the hand-written German labels, the unique preparation of several specimens, and the presence of several special interest rock types associated with plate tectonics and radiologic dating, we believe the collection was used in some kind of scientific research. We translated the old label, which reads "Ejecta from Laacher Sees". |
